Play Pavilion

Taking root at the City Museum, a playful architectural endeavor located at the heart of St. Louis’ downtown, this project seeks to redefine acts of play and the schema of a staircase. Through climbing, this “play pavilion” reimagines the way one ascends to reach the interior slides. Connecting two floors, this appendage wraps along the curvature of the slide, allowing a hollow enclosed structure to facilitate new forms of play.
